Trainers have a comprehensive set of parent training goals.
Give parents a solid foundation before you give parents homework to do on their own. Think about behavior skills training (BST). Parents need to understand the content, have it modeled to them, role-play what you’re asking them to do, and then provide direct feedback.
Make realistic goals toward learning the concepts in every parent meeting.
The Roadmap has learning goals to help you know parents are absorbing the information, and naturally guides them to performance goals with your help.
You'll be given a plan designed to teach parents ABA concepts in bite-size lessons. These plans will help parents apply their knowledge to their daily routines, making them actionable while also allowing parents to see real results.
Increase the impact you’re already making with the child…
by teaching parents how to carry over the same behavior concepts to their home. Remember, the goal is improving the child’s overall quality of life, not just during therapy. When we provide the basic tools of ABA, parents are able to see behavior changes that last and have a real, positive effect in their day-to-day lives.

I am a BCBA working in a clinic so I only meet with the parents one time a week for training. They come into the clinic and I do miss out on that interaction with parent/child at home setting. So after the Empathy webinar (which I found helpful) I ordered the Roadmap to ABA Parent Training. I can't tell you how helpful this was with connecting and training the parents.
Best of all was your Empathy Map Canvas that you spoke about during the training. It is critical that we are empathizing with caregivers and actually find out what it is that they need to accomplish. By empathizing with caregivers, we connect. When we connect, we are trusted and we can then begin to help the parents/caregivers reach their goals!

The Roadmap to ABA Parent Training makes the process efficient so clinicians can focus on time with the clients. It saves time and makes parent training time more meaningful.

Overall, I like it. It’s basic and easy for parents to understand. We added Paradigm Behavior’s Roadmap to ABA Parent Training because it looks much higher quality and is more aesthetically pleasing while covering much of the same content.

This is on my "to purchase list." And let me say how gorgeous the materials seem to be. For a while, and still today, BCBA materials looked unprofessional. The coloring is gross, the font is of the 90's, or the layout is wrong. These materials, especially given to parents, are professional and pretty not to mention effective. Thank you for raising the bar!!
- Kerri M.
I work with students 3 to 5 years old with special needs, in a mod/severe program. I appreciate the work you are doing. I started an ABA program two years ago and found it difficult to finish with all my classroom responsibilities. I have many students with ASD, and your program is helping me with staff and parents, Thank you!
- Doreen T.
As a parent if a professional was this organized with me and told me so plainly how I can be involved it would be very exciting.

[Regarding updates to the Roadmap] Thank you for the email about the Roadmap update. I cannot imagine it being any better then what it is!

My name is Christina Conner, and I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Throughout my career as both a BCBA and an ABA therapist, I’ve had the privilege and opportunity to work with families, both in-home and in clinic, and I’ve witnessed the many of the challenges faced by families who have loved ones with special needs.
I started Paradigm Behavior because I wanted parent training materials that were easy to follow and explain. By creating a set of comprehensive goals, the Roadmap allows trainers to support parents every step of the way, making parents feel confident to integrate ABA concepts into their everyday lifestyle.
Paradigm Behavior’s Parent training guides and workbooks are a valuable addition to any BCBA’s toolbox. The guides are aesthetically pleasing and well organized with clear examples, training objectives and progress monitoring built in.
These resources help to keep parent training focused and allow for practitioners to make data driven decisions and individualize the training to hone in on topics a caregiver may be struggling with.
