I’m excited to announce that Paradigm Behavior has an article featured in the inaugural issue of Mama’s Black Book. You know how I feel about play and the many benefits it offers. It can increase language, socialization and creativity, while also providing opportunities to role play our greatest dreams and fears. The problem is that, as parents, we often rely on our children to naturally play and explore with toys even though they need our initial support to model the possibilities of play for them. Secondly, it’s been so long since we held a toy that we’re often embarrassed to tap into our old friend, Imagination. This article offers parents ideas on overcoming their fear of silliness to guide their kids through play.
